A five session class once a week class designed for the next step in the beginning metalsmith’s curriculum. Improve and increase your basic skills in soldering and metalsmithing with this more advanced class.

Tuesdays, April 24, May 1, 8, 15, 22, 2018, 6pm to 9pm

Class requires a Minimum of 2 participants.

Instructor: Sacha Bliese

Prerequisites:

All students must be at least 18 years old.
Basic skill level (some experience with metalsmithing.)

and Beginning Jewelry Metalsmithing I or other Beginning class equivalent.

Description

A five session class once a week class designed for the next step in the beginning metalsmith’s curriculum.

Improve and increase your basic skills in soldering and metalsmithing with this more advanced class. New techniques will be taught to further advance the beginning student in their progress as a jeweler/metalsmith. Discover forging and forming of metals using hammers and stakes, piercing and use of the jewelers saw, sanding, polishing, filing and finishing techniques, and create an overlay ring design to be taken home at the end of the class schedule
