In this First Class of a series of 4 Independent Fast Tracked* Intermediate Jewelry Metalsmithing, you will strengthen and develop your jewelry metalsmithing skills focusing on making a spinner ring and a figure 8 solitaire ring.

Dates & Times: Saturday & Sunday, March 16 & 17, 2019, 10am-5pm 
Register before March 6th   to allow the instructor time to purchase materials.

Prerequisites:

All students must be at least 18 years old, and have completed the following
OR have the Instructor’s Permission:

Fast Track – Beginning Jewelry 1 & Fast Track – Beginning Jewelry 2  or equivalent training. Also Recommended:   Ring Design and Rendering class (on prior day)

Description

In this First Class of a series of 4 Independent Fast Tracked* Intermediate Jewelry Metalsmithing, you will strengthen and develop your jewelry metalsmithing skills focusing on making a spinner ring and a figure 8 solitaire ring.

You will learn how to use a rolling mill, do texturing, forging, learn new soldering techniques and understand sizing rings for a proper fit. You will learn how to add and incorporate tube bezels to your project. You will work mainly with silver flat stock and wire and some copper.
